Oil pan leak?

Went to get an oil change today...the tech noticed a lot of oil on and around the oil pan. The pan gasket looks pushed out at certains points. Turbo lines look fine, nice and clean. He cleaned it off and told me to check it again in a couple days, possibly isolate the leak. Could the raised boost and added pressure cause this? Is this gasket a known trouble area? Please advise...

6500miles on the odo, mods include BR filter, Forge DV, Dynoflash @ 23psi.

Maybe the bolt was loose.

Has the oil pan ever been removed?

Oil has a tendency to drip in weird and mysterious places. I remember when I spilled some up on the valve cover and it wound its way down to the oil pan as well. I thought my drain plug was leaking. Just keep your eye on it. High boost or not shouldn't affect your oil pan I wouldn't think.

If it was a mitsu tech I would hope that he would have took an effort in finding the source. If not a mitsu tech, I would hope you didn't go to one of those Jiffy places (tightened my wifes oil filter finger tight to fall off on the way home)

It is not a gasket, it's sealant - so it normally pushes out at certain points

Even if the PVC check valve fails to seat and leaks, or if you have massive blowby, the sump space likely wont pressurize unless the vent on the intake side is clogged as well as a leaking PVCC - very unlikely.

Is the oil you see clean or dirty? If it's clean then you know for sure the tech spilled while pouring then thinks it's a leak.

If it's dirty you have to follow it, gravity
