MAF Translator Blow Through....

Has anyone use the MAF translator with a GM 3" MAF? I know "malibujack" has done a blow through setup with a ford maf and from what i know it has worked well for him. But i didnt know if anyone else has tired it with the MAFPRO translator for the evo and with a GM maf. I Know some of you say dont go this route and thats. I dont want a lot of negative comments but i am welcome to any input that may be positive and or negative. Let me hear what you have to say.

Sorry to be off topic, but I was suprised to see someone from Springfield, MO. I go to school at SMS or MSU (whatever you want to call it). You know of any tracks down here?

I find it interesting that the blowthrough set ups are so popular among the DSM crowd and seem to work pretty well, while this setup is rarely mentioned on Evo's

I have that very same MAF translator waiting to go into the car. Hopefully by this weekend the car will be running. I have a few things to get done before it's fully tuned. I think the Maftpro might be a little overkill for this application.

I have Jestr tuning the car for me since Im pretty sure he is the only one with experience with the blowthrough system.

Don't worry, Ill have a write up once everything is complete.

Theres a Evo IX out here that has the maft-pro, seems to be working really well, pulled 11.7 with meth kit, tbe, intake, and maft pro.
The regular maf-translators are used very often with dsms and work great.

I'm actually in the process of swapping out the Ford MAF to replace it with a LT1 GM MAF, with a 3.5" Granatelli billet housing..

I will be using my ECU+ to do the translation.. I didn't post too much about it because I was trying to give it some time to get the remaining parts I'm waiting on, and perhaps maybe some word on the updated electronics for my Ford based unit.

im a little curious as well, i see the light with the stock ECU and ECUFlash, and i know that TTP has had some great results with there blow through setup, they seem to be the only one taking this direction, I know Mike at SBR also recommend there Blow through setup as well when i was talking to him about my 35r on my 2.0 setup.

We were just talking about this tonight

A good friend of mine is an SCT tuner and I have thought about doing this with a ford SCT meter. There are 1000+ whp cars now using MAF sensers and the drivability is so much better with MAF vs MAP. I will proly go this way when I do a 37R.
