exedy twin clutch wtf need some help

Sup people. Ok, I had an Exedy Twin HD clutch installed a while back. My stock clutch took a dump after 43 K miles. The clutch peddle was never adjusted. I had the Exedy installed and when I 1st got in the car it graded right off the floor. Felt great . I was told give it 500 miles or so to let it break in.
(Which I did.) I think I gave it close to 700 miles before I did anything hard with it. By now the clutch is grabbing say almost half way well, maybe little bit less then half way. I then went to the track and did a few passes. 3 passes with a 1.88 1.83 and a 1.79 60 foot. Clutch was great.

Here is the problem. After that day I noticed when im stopped and start to go it makes a humming sound till I let off the peddle fully. It also does it during down shifting if I don't rev match the rpm's. The second I touch the gas it go's away. The clutch still seems to grad real strong. I have never dumped the clutch. also I have not launched the car since the track day and in 5th gear on the highway if I floor it the car just takes off. There is no slipping like my stock one did. Is this all normal??
Thanks for the help guys and hope you can read thru my mess here. Thanks again.

the clutch peddle does need to be adjusted... you need to get all 4 tires off the ground and adjust it to where the wheels dont move when the peddle is pushed in all the way..

ex. rigth after my install with he peddle pushed in all the way the wheels would still spin due to engagment...

another reason is if it's still engaged a little shifting wont be as smooth... i experienced a little lock out in first and reverse.. and all gears where a little notchy... so i raised it a little more..

i have at least 40 launch's on the exedy now.. and it still runs like a champ...

judging from this

"12.3 1.79 60 at 112mph stock cams stock turbo no meth. just bolt on's 22psi "

you also know what ur doing so im sure its fine....

i wasn't talking about redline lock out... sometimes it needed a little push to get into first at light instead of falling in...

if u dont have any of that jack up the car and check the engagment... if ur wheels dont move with the clutch in all the way then you're all set...

cheers!

I have 3x as many miles on my Exedy than my stocker (stocker went at 12k miles) the noise is normal. Heat the clutch up with a little slip and it goes away.

The clutch SHOULD be noisy when it is disengaged - the multiple discs should be rattling around as the pressure is taken off of them and they aren't pressed together. In fact, I'm worried that you didn't hear noises with the clutch pedal pushed all the way in. I'm wondering if, with the pedal engaging so close to the floor as you described whether it was dragging a bit. If that was the case, it might have some premature wear, but it sounds like it's fine now.

also as you say ( with the pedal engaging so close to the floor as you described whether it was dragging a bit. If that was the case, it might have some premature wear, but it sounds like it's fine now.)

would that meen it would be a lil hard to get into 1st gear from a stop. it was not hard it just fell right in.
