Exclamation p0335 problems

I am having a problem with my car throwing the p0335 code(Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit ). It has never done this before now and at the present time it will not crank. What led up to this was me taking my car to get the oil changed, instead of doing it myself. Well the guy that did it didn't put the dipstick in all the way, so by the time I made it back to GA. I had the oil change done in Jackson, MS and then drove to Augusta, GA for a grand total of about 530 miles. The next day I took my car to wash and wax it. Upon opening the hood I immediately noticed the oil in the engine bay. I cleaned up as much as I could and finished waxing. I tried to go somewhere later that night and the car would not crank. I got the p0335, and I checked under the hood today to find the plug is located right by the dipstick. The plug had a decent amount of oil on the outside of it, but none on the inside. I cleaned as much as I could from the wires, but the car would still not start. I am thinking that I am going to need a new plug and would like some help with this. Thanks, and sorry for the novella

Haveyou tried resetting the computer? The dipstick is not located anywhere near the CPS.

parts wash the hell out of it and let it dry out, if still doesnt start, its gotta be the sensor/connector. if you had a scantool, you could check for rpm signal......
