Unhappy How do you know if the BOV is bad?

I recently have been driving around and noticed what I believe to be a really bad boost leak. I will be taking off the bumper and replacing all the IC clamps with better ones but from what I could tell everything seem securely attached that would not result from such a leak. The car makes plenty of boost but the release of intake pressure is audible enough to hear it a part throttle. I normally used to only be able to hear the intake but now I hear the suction and the release of air causing the sound of a slow phsssh versus a quick phsssh. I have the Forge Recirc. It has never given me any problems until recently and I have been easy on the car for the last couple months so I am not sure what this is about.

Thanks

I tried to make a boost tester and I couldnt find all the pieces I needed to make one. I bought all the pieces that I would have thought would have worked but turns out the pipe is 2.75 O.D. and I needed 3in but there was nothing to help me cap it off with. The only thing I tried to do was roll the end with tape. I'll need to use duct tape I'm sure becaue electrical slid right off.

Uh, no, you don't use any tape. Get the right pieces and do a boost leak test - it's not rocket science.

I just need to let home depot and Lowes know what to stock. All the pieces they carry for plumbing did not work for my application. There was always a missing piece to the puzzle. The only thing I can maybe do is to ask them to cut a small piece of PVC from those huge long pieces you have to buy. I cant carry that in my car by any means and I dont believe they will be able to cut me a piece. Maybe I can go to these new home builder job sites and rip me off a piece.

If you still have the POS plastic BOV just trash it and get a better Recirc or dual vent.
