TurboXS DP

I have been hearing some bad things about the TurboXS DP. True or rumored? If it leaks like people say, what is a good DP at about the same price range?

We have been a big fan of the txs exhaust parts for quite some time now. However on the 9 there are some fitments issues some have ran into.

If you want a DP that will fit perfectly, get the Invidia. Great price, and fits like a glove. If you have anymore questions, let me know.

Do you only need a DP? The Buschur DP fits perfectly, makes great power, and is extremely light. The person who just removed/installed my trans asked me if my DP was titanium. I said, "no, why?" and he said..."oh, it's just so damn light, I thought it had to be Titanium...."

TT gets my car on Wednesday and I was going to do just a catback along with the rest of my mods, but from what you guys have posted, I am deciding to go with the tbe. They recomended the TurboXS catback (and I got some slack from that on these boards). I am calling them in the morning to let them know of the change and if the TurboXS DP was as bad as I have heard, I will tell them to go with something else, so any suggestions are welcome. It looks like Buschur is pretty hot right now, so I'm not sure why they didn't recommend that, unless TT doesn't deal with Buschur, I don't know.

Well, TT is a direct competitor - they wouldn't really want to push you towards Buschur. You don't have to buy your parts from TT. You can buy whatever you want, and they will install/tune it.

it seems like some people are talking alot of smack about the turbo xs DP. I just installed mine on my EVO IX. Is it the best DP? maybe not. The fitment is a bit tight near the TCASE, but i have checked it a few times since its been installed and it is not hitting(at least there are no visible marks)WIth the stock 02 housing being connected by that bracket there is not much flex in there so the DP doesnt move around enough to hit the TCASE. It DOES clear the lower braces if you use the provided spaces.(similar to the bushur spaceres). As far as leaks...I havent had any. There are quite a few post lately though regarding this topic. Kinda funny since I purchased mine like a week ago before anyone was even talking about it :-/ anyways, importimageonline.com has the whole TBE w/test pipe for 789 shipped. pretty good deal. The Bushur one is priced similar for the whole system, and def kicks ***. I just couldnt find any pics of how it fit and didnt see any at the track the one time I went.

I have the txs catback on my VIII and it is awesome in fitment and build quality. Sounds nice and aggresive without being overly loud. I have the dp waiting to go on and can't vouch for that yet. But for those looking into the catback it get's my recommendation.

The TXS DP was designed on an VIII w/ the non-ACD transfer case, which is why it's tight on some 05+ VIIIs and most IXs, some people have had issues with it because of this. It is a high quality piece and includes all the necessary hardware, spacers, spring-loaded bolts, etc. I would probably just go a different route on the 05 VIIIs and 06+ IXs for better clearance. I agree on the catback, nice piece and I like that it actually uses the stock bolt-on hangers.

It looks like the the pipe was designed for EVOS without ACD. Its just annoying that many vendors list the product as "Turbo XS TBE" for EVO 8 and 9s
