Thats not the point.. the point is that the ECU did make changes because of the cel..
And 1 way to fix cel problems is to put a few resisters inline with the O2 sensor to make it read differently..
Also check with your vendors people ALOT of places sell these.. Some call the MIL eliminators, some call them O2 simulators, some call them dummy plugs..

We stand by our product 100%. If you're having problems. We will fix it or replace it for free. Give me a call, email, or PM, or leave me with a number I can reach you. We'll get you taken care of. Did you purchase this through a dealer? I don't recall sending any Evolution products out to MI.
Thanks
Darryl

No it didn't. The car will run the same at wide open throttle, CEL or not. In fact, it would run the same at WOT without any O2 sensor on the car at all. But your gas milage would suck.

Do you know this for a fact? i know that is how the 2nd gen DSM is. but a car loosing HP from removing a cat?
Sounds odd to me..

i didnt know the ECU was making any changes. Buschur said it didnt make any changes. I thought the test pipe was causing the h.p. and torque numbers to change directly. maybe ill put my high flow cat in instead.

Well, i would like to hear more on this, cause it just doesnt seem right.
Usually you loose hp and gain torque when you put in a cat..

the second oxygen sensor is called an efficiency monitor. All, I repeat all OBDII cars have the same working principle. The second 02 is there to make sure that the catalytic converter is working properly. When the cat is missing, the ecu reads the same voltage for the front 02 as the second 02, therefore throwing a fast reponse code. There has to be enough drive cycles to throw a code. Usually it will be 10 cylcles before the ecu determines to show you a CEL. Just because you dont see a CEL doesnt mean there isn't a code in the ecu. I have the Ultimate turbo-back, and there is no code. Clever way to fool the ecu.
