Test pipe
Just wondering if anyone has installed a test pipe and if so have you gotten any codes?
From what I've seen so far no one is getting codes, but i cant understand why they would'nt be. anyone know??

i'm running with the ultimate racing test pipe. it really does get rid of CEL problems. they showed me how they do it...but i'm not supposed to tell how...
but it's pretty trick how they do it!

Even if you get the check engine light from a test pipe, it doesn't make the car run ****ty. Just there to tell you that the 2nd O2 sensor isn't reading a lower than the front one.
I have a ghetto 2.5" test pipe for sale for 40 bucks if anyone is interested. Ran 12.7 at 106mph with it, stock exhaust
This one WILL set off the check engine light though.

it looks to me everyone likes the ultimate racing 3'' turbo back... sounds nice?? anybody dyno yet ... if so wat is the whp gain? im actually looking for one that will be just slightly louder when cruising ( better sound damn nice though ) and OPENS up like a beautiful monster on full throttle.... also is it true that the test pipe ALONE will drop your boost 1 psi but keep your same power ratings therefore allowing more hp/torque when boosted back up to stock settings with boost controller?

I still need to do more driving on th Evo for few more days to see if the test pipe from Ultimate really gets rid of the cel.
Check engine light will not immedialtely come on. It will take a long continuos period of driving to set it off. ECU gives the car time to reach optimal tuning before it starts checking. Mine did not come on for days of stop and go traffic. Took a little highway trip to set it off.

thats becasue of the nature of the emissions testing system in the ecu, it will only test for the rear O2 on long trips where rpm
s are held steady adn vary little. For the non believers who think the CIL will not affect powergains please explain why Dave Bushur lost HP when dynoing a stock EVO with a testpipe. Freer flowing exhausts usually gain power not loose power.
