squeaky pedal
Everytime i push down on the clutch no matter if the car is on or not it squeaks....It sounds like a cat almost. Has anybody experienced this before or does anybody know a fix.
I have the same type of problem. usually occurs after I've been driving for a while: not when it's cold, and it doesn't occur when the motor has just warmed up (from sitting overnight for example), I have to have been driving it.
I've adjusted my clutch peddle, that had no effect.
Bled the clutch, still there.
Changed the tranny and diff fluids, still there.
Took it to the dealer: they greased the peddle and the rod the goes through the firewall to the clutch's master cylinder, didn't help.
The one and only interesting thing I noted, and I haven't pulled the tranny to look at the clutch yet, is that there is a small tear (facing the radiator) on the slave cylinder's boot. It is not leaking fluid though.
I too would like to know if anyone has had this type of issue and firgued it out.

I have a slight squeek when I push my clutch pedal in. Only time I can hear it is if radio is off. I have learned to just deal with it, but it would be great if you find something out.
i have been having the same problem with my evo. from several trial and errors on trying to figure out the problem i have come to the conclusion that its the spring on the clutch rod, and that spring rubs on the adjacent metal plate. If you get under the dash console and push in the clutch with your hand you can see the spring close and when it does you can see it the meta plate. I have tried greasing the metal plate and the spring and it does help stop the squeaking noise, but it only helps for a few days. I have also tried prying the spring with a screw diver but that is also a temporary fix.

there has to be a particular cause of this becasue alot of older evo's dont even have this problem....the sound does effect driving but its just so annoying in stop and go traffic.
I'm not sure if I'm having the EXACT same problem as you guys. Tonight after driving for about 15 minutes (no crazy driving, just cruising) I noticed after I turned the car off a weird noise comes about when I engage the clutch. I get a squeak...
Now, my WRX had the same thing happen to it and my clutch was going up. I hope to god that isn't the case here. I have a stage 3 ACT clutch and just bolt ons. No cams, no meth, and stock turbo.
Anyone have any further insight? possible throwout bearing bad?
Should I be worried?

I've sprayed a heavier coat of lubricant (anti-rust) around the clutch rod and return spring area behind the pedal. (WD-40 is OK.)
It will quiet down the squeaking for a few months at least.
Any moving area will need some lubricant periodically.
I also spray the throttle area, my APS twin vent BOV and turbo actuator area from time to time.
Also, I think it helped my throttle shaft seals from leaking for the past 7 years @ almost 80K.
Also, make sure the fasteners around the clutch pedal assembly are all tight.
