E85 Ready!! with style :)

Well E85 is the future so, I figured what the hell ,why not try it. The twin pumps are ready to go. What do you guys think about purple?? haha. Incase some of you guys are not familiar with E85. E85 is 85% Ethanol and 15% Fuel (in most cases by the way). Ethanol is know to corrode aluminum unless anodized so i went ahead and anodized the piece, along with all the pieces that are going to be for sale (raw aluminum is available too). I will have other color choices as well. Well, Im going to be installing this in the evo very soon and hopefully tune it on some E85. Sorry for taking so long on this but putting design into the patent process took some time just waiting on approval now but atleast its submited. Ill keep you guys posted with the dyno progress

I dont care what people say about E85 i would never put it in my car are you kiding me the afr's would be off the charts. There would be to much at risk. If we ever run out of reg gas im just going to run race gas or alky. all the time. This would work great for a 600whp or less evo but not on my car thats going to be way over 600whp.

But the twin pump setup in nice. Shoot me a pm i got a ? for you about priceing and some more info on the pump mount

Why the hesitation about running e85? The only real problem is supplying the car with the required 30% more fuel due to the lower density. As a tuning fuel this stuff is pretty much top notch ratings are like 106octane.

Where else can you buy 106octane race fuel for around 2.50/gal ?

Yes some people arent comfortable with the idea of E85 but if its tuned properly then its fine. Im located in Minnesota and E85 is just about everywhere. The only downside to E85 is that in the winter time the mix contains more gasoline then 15% to help the vehicles start. Ive done alot of studying on the stuff and thought i would try it on my personal car. Either way, for E85 or not its going to help alot for guys out that are running out of fuel and hate to run external pumps and what not.

Also, I am a sponsor of the site now, so hopefully we can keep this thread going and ill have results for the setup soon. It is winter here and it will be snowing anytime now so hopefully i can get it in the car and running asap.

I have been running E-85 in my car for a few weeks now. According to my Data Log Lab power graphs I'm putting out somewhere between 440 and 460 lb-ft of torque on a White Rabbit turbo. My gas mileage has dropped to about 15mpg, but I'm only paying $2.03 per gallon so the overall cost is about the same. I may be interested in a setup like this if I upgrade my turbo as I maxed out 780 cc injectors and had to turn the boost down a bit. I'm still in the process of retuning after upgrading to 1000 cc injectors.

I find the "anti-E85" guys to be humorous.. Alot of people are either closed minded, or afraid of the stuff..

Anyway, I love the twin pump setup, so I'd like to be updated on your twin pump assemblies.

Only I wouldn't worry about ethanol having a problem with our cars, and aluminum in general. Ethanol and E85 are nowhere near as corrosive as people think, in fact, it won't really do damage to any of the commonly used materials in our cars where as Methanol which is what everyone seems to confuse it with is VERY corrosive.
