Mine and a buds FP20gLT dyno results.
The 20g-LT was machined for the larger turbine. Because of that, it leaves a .040 inch ridge inside the exhaust side of the turbo (between the turbine and O2 housing). By porting this out and opening up the hotside,(getting a good smooth radius in the port where it transitions to the O2 housing) I'm sure is where most of the 20 whp was gained. Here is what my son's looked like after I ported it.

One of the images shows the transition from the turbine housing to the O2 housing. The other two show the .040 inch ridge removed and ported/polished hotside. Easily a gain in whp. Hope these will give a picture of the ported turbo. This is not the FP port job. I did these two housings, however, I'm sure that theirs would be similar. The transition picture is actually of a stock IX turbo that was on my son's car before we changed to the Buschur O2 housing and 20G-LT turbo.

I'm glad this was all done at Dyno4mance.. I've been anticipating to hear what Andrew would have to say about the turbo (as he does all my work and I would highly recommend him to anyone) and what kind of #s it would put down.. Sounds promising, nice numbers for pump..
Our observatioons of comparing the stock IX turbo (with the ported hotside and ported stock O2 housing) to the 20G-LT is that the new "LT" has very slightly slower spool (untuned at this point), but the mid-range to top end (4500 to 8000 rpm) is extremely good. It's all the fun you can have, and still be legal, unless you're in VEGAS. If I had it all over to do again, I'd be doing the exact same thing. Mods on my son's car are 20G-LT, Buschur O2 housing, 680 inj, Buschur 3" Vband turbo back, ARP studs, mini-battery, Buschur Deluxe FMIC, 100 octane pump gas, Snow 25D (dual controller, MAF and BOOST) Water/Meth injector kit, Al at DynoFlash road tune (before 20G-LT and 680's, waiting now for re-tune). Still, untuned and running 32 psi boost, it kicks ***!
For those curious, this picture shows the stock IX turbo, after porting the turbine hotside. Notice the area just outside the turbine where the inside circumference is about .040 inch SMALLER than where I ported. This area is actually machined out to .040 LARGER on the 20G-LT in SOME of the areas of the hotside (not completely around the full circumference). It's that NEW LARGER .040 ridge that is left from the Machining of the larger turbine that should be PORTED out. Notice that this pic still show 'rough' area just below this stock IX turbine area. Since this is the BACKSIDE of the exhaust flow, it should not be hogged out and ported, since you can easily HURT the flow of exhaust. That's why I left it alone. It was very mildly smoothed in that area, just to help and avoid any back turbulence. Sorry for getting a little off topic here, but felt since both of the cars in this thread used these two different configurations of the 20G-LT, now would be a good time to show those differences and relate them to the 20whp difference.

Very nice, very glad to see you guys are happy.
Just so you know Forced Performance DOES NOT call these turbos 20gLT's, so it is incorrect in your signature. It is a Forced Performance EVO GREEN.
Very nice though and thanks for posting this up.
Sale on these turbos ends today.

I don't get all of the debating. The turbo is good for 40whp over a maxxed out stocker with very close spool. It's not rocket science if you want more power than that buy something bigger with more lag et etc.
EvOikon: FYI Yes we are now flashing Evo 8 and 9's here at Dyno4mance
It seems that everyone who has used the 20G-LT vs. the stock IX turbo is happy. Why shouldn't they be? With 40+whp more and the potential for even more, it's a no brainer. Thanks to Buschur Racing and Forced Performance for bringing it to the Evo crowd.
