Remove the top screws and put the barb anywhere you want it.

Well, now I have it all in. Turned the barb around and it is re-circulating, but now it flutters no matter what RPM or boost level I let off or shift at. We [DSM buddy] have tried softening it and hardening it both to the extreme and either one seems to be helping. Any suggestions much obliged.

Ok, did you do the single spring mod? (sorry this is for the TypeS) -- But I know the RS has dual springs - mixed review here though on the single spring mod. Might be worth the try (?)

Danny - I have not heard about blowing them up. Melting - yes. I have melted the rubber dia. on the inside before.

Unfortunately, the Type RS. I'm guessing I'm just going to have to deal with this, considering my research has shown that it is a seemingly common problem that almost everyone with the RS has.

Still, any suggestions to make the fluttering less "severe" would be helpful as well. Tighten it all the way down? Or loosen it considerably?

Tightening it more will make the it flutter more. You will have to loosen it up. When I was doing my tuning of the Type S - I went all the way loose then tightened it down a half turn - test drove. Half turn more - test drove, etc...until I was getting fluttering - then I backed it off a 1/4 turn.

By Fluttering, you mean...letting air/leaking under pressure?
