24 psi on stock 8 MR turbo

Hey guys im running 24psi on my stock 8 MR turbo with 93 octain. What can the stock 8 MR handle safely? Mods are hbc, hks cat back w/ cat delete, hyperflow intercooler, hks intake, walbro 255, greddy bov. I did search but i mostly found stuff on the 9 turbo or 8's with alky, plus im at work and don't have much time to search.

The turbo can handle that fine. However, 24 seems high for 93oct. You many not notice it much now because it is winter. Or you have a gauge that isnt reading right.

Were you tuned?

You can spike 24 psi no problem on 93 as long as you DONT hold it, your tuned for it and theres no knock

Bluebyu36- Its because the turbo runs out of efficiency at higher rpms

That's too high, and you shouldn't be driving around like that with no tune. That's ridiculous and not very smart.

yep 24psi is a little high even on 93....If your spiking to 24 then tapering down to 19-20 and holding that to redline I guess as long as your tuned for it and not getting knock then it would be alright

but w/ out a tune 24psi is just stupid
