I don't drive the car to work or school so it doesnt get driven alot and I don't beat on it so its not like everday i was holding 24 while driving I probably only did like 10 pulls like that which could sound like a lot but its been tuned like this for almost a year now so its not that much considering. Anyways right now it holds 23 but next time i drive it i may set it down to 22.
I thought with the MR you could go about one psi more than with just the normal 8?

People need to lighten up, or the Mods are going to have to get involved... the newbies need to read the rules if they want to continue to post here! Some of the not so newbies also...
With a good tune, 24psi spike tapering to 20 or so be redline is perfectly okay. Though I have a IX, during the summer I was spiking 25 at peak torque tapering to 23-22 by redline with no knock under most conditions. This was all on pump gas, NO meth, no octane booster. You could run that boost all day with a stock timing map if you really wanted to. The point is Tune is the determining factor.
the IX's can get away with 24-25 on 93 where an VIII can only go about 22 safely. it's a combination of the more efficient compressor, the refined coolant passages in the head, and the redesign of the pistons/rings in the IX that give it the ability to increase the threshhold compared to the VIII.
