Guys, no matter what you do. It will flutter under part throttle. Tuning this BOV requires you to know what to look for. Stiffer the spring, the less likly to flutter under part throttle. To stiff and it wont open soon enough. The point is to relieve boost pressure before it backs up into the turbine blades causing them to slow down, which reeks havic on the wheel, bearings, and blades.

Stalling issues are related to soft spring and or improperly adjusted idle/air screw. Also if you have been ecu flashed have the tuner turn of the set idle. My idle is set at 1100 RPM.

Stiff spring insures no boost leak under high boost pressures.

If you are worried about holding boost get the works DV. Just like the stock IX but with a stiffer spring. The sound should not be your primary concern. All the cool sounds in the world won't make your car perform better.

Stock IX BOV is the best for street driven under ~25 PSI.

I tried Forge DV, Forge DV adjustable and HKS SSQ. Ran into driveability issues... stalling mostly. Came back to the stock one and I am happy! :-)

Im using the forge right now! I think its pretty good, Im curious though as to why I heard the HKS SSQV isn't good for the evos... Anybody know why? But I do have the forge and I like it. Its loud. And its recirculating...... Kinda sounds like a mix between the HKS and the Greddy TYPE S.
