I was told by Patrick Robles of Forge Motorsport that boost response after shifting will actually improve if you vent to atmosphere. Forge says usually if it is possible to vent to atmosphere there are no downsides to doing so, as long as you are not using the stock MAF and also assuming that you are running a full stand alone engine management system.

It is now significantly smoother and not only that it is instaneous. I havent logged a sudden severe rich spike as apparently was the case with the VIII. It doesnt stall, bog, hesitate, or idle funny as I approach a stop. Spool is still the same and between shifts hasnt changed at WOT.

Your results may vary.
Do you mind sharing the name/model of your latest test BOV or PM it to me?

Thank you.

Yes. But only until and after due dillegence of research has been exhausted (pun).

No disrespect meant to anyone but as long as it is individually owned and not forum owned vehicles then all upgrade bets are off and are responsibilities of the individual owners.

YMMV.

If it flutters at light load then you need a stiffer spring what is happening is that at light load you don't have enough spring pressure no boost to keep the valve closed so it flutters a stiffer spring would help
If it flutters when you shift only the spring is too stiff and it flurrer is comming through the turbo so in that case it would be a softer spring or you are not getting enough boost vaccum at the nipple.

I use the stiffest spring available for the tial. No problems at all. works the best outta all the ones I have tried.

I haven't found one yet that doesn't either flutter or leak.

I have a forge that I'll sell you pretty cheap. It has three springs of different stiffness to choose from. It flutters at partial throttle but holds boost very well. I have only used the middle level spring. I wonder if I should try the stiffer spring....

How about a DV for those who run 25-32 psi of boost but want to stay with a DV? What would be the choice?
