Don't bother with a Tial unless you're running a MAP based FMS. I had it in my Evo and it's a PITA to keep the car from stalling out...

Just makes me wonder if this is just the answer most people asking about BOVs want? I guess the key is to get the bov that works just like the stock one (twin vent) - is that correct?

Just put the stock bov back on the car and keep the greddy bov until you get more mods. If you dont plan on modding to much then sell it.

get the HKS Super Sequential with a recirculation kit. this BOV has a design that is different to most others on the market. the boost pressure helps to keep the valve shut and then opens with the help of the vacum instead of the spring fighting the boost pressue to stay shut. this design can support massive amounts of boost. there is also a "racing" version from hks that can handle 45psi if I remember correctly...

Please do not post if you do not accurately understand/know what works or how things work. This BOV may be good for other cars but it is not great for MAF Evos - period. One of the flaws is its design, our cars need a DV that can open at idle to allow some air back into the intake. Due to the SSQVs design it doesnt open at idle and creates a rich environment that effects the car.

DV Tech - good read:

the stock 9 is the best for almost all applications. basic bolt-ons with a tune.

the only time you should change the stocker is when you are running high boost with a bigger turbo. Or if you go with an aftermarket EMS.

Go back to the Stocker!!!!

good to know about the fact that the bov needs to open at idle. how does it achive this through the vacum?
