what kind of oil and oil filter do you guys use?
Guys save your money and go with the NAPA gold it is better than the purolator and all that K$N or Mobile 1 crap. The only thing good from Mobile 1 is the oil and even that is not full synthetic. it is a blend. I don' t know why people have to go for rediculous gimics and high priced items. I bet my Napa kicks all those others in the a$$
This might be the only useful one from K$N
K&N w/super strong rare earth filter magnet #1

Add this http://www.filtermag.com/tech.php to any filter and it will solve any question about the filters capabilities of oil filtration. Its all relative to the quality filter, put it on a cheap filter=better. Put it on a higher quality (more filtration in microns)=best.
You guys using Royal Purple, UOA that stuff sometime and you'll poopie in your pants. Run it hard and it will shear out of weight ever time. Please dont be offended by me saying this I just wanted to give you guys the info that I have gotten from doing UOA's on it in several cars (only one was mine and it has never been in "my" evo).
Redline and AMSOil have both seen duty in my car for the past 18 months of daily driving and loads of track days along with the stock mitsu filter. I use Redline more often because it's easy to get locally. Motul is great oil but a little hard to get in the states for some reasons. I have found that a lot of people who say they carry it dont keep it in stock.
The Amsoil and Redline shear about the same and both UOA's are excellent even after a two day track event in the middle of August heat at Hallett.
For those of you testing the Greddy oil, one of you shoot me a PM and I will pay for you to have it UOA'd when you change oil next if you are interested and have a paypal account.
