PuffPuffPass,nm it says in your sig. Hows the fitment of your 3" intake pipe to your maf sensor? any rubbing issues or clearance tolerance problems or does it all fit "just right"?

koevo, i had the same issue when i did my t35r set up. i used my injen intake and went to home depot / lowes ( you choose) and got a plumbing reducer ( silicone or rubber ) and it worked great. It even came with clamps on it for $6.00 . as far as adverse effects of going from 4"-3", i dont think their are any. besides, my 35r had the surge inlet which means the turbine intlet was 3" anyways. my car had no issues that were obvious from using the ruducer. it will shove your filter up over the acd filler tho. good luck man.

By the way it shouldnt matter if the intake coupler is 4 or 5 ply. Its for an intake, which doesnt have pressure. Its a better coupler but not a must have.

i have the 3071r ATP set up on my car i had to use the stock intake. the kit came with reducers already. i tried the aem intake and would not fit. i had it on my stock turbo. i personally am in a holding pattern on my set as to which way im going. if this works out for you post some pics up or PM me some would be great.

y didnt the aem intake fit? too long too short?

No ****, so you used a 3-4" reducing coupler for your stock intake pipe and it worked? That's the ultimate solution right there. Can you maybe take a picture for us, or describe in full detail the setup?

yes its a coupler with a metal insert that came with my kit i can take a pic but im terrible at posting pics so i can send it to someone no prob. ill take one in the day light hours and send it to someone if they want and they can post it. as far as looking stock it does. thats the cool thing about it.

i wanna see a pvc pipe intake. think about it, you can make any angle and it's easy to modify at home... why hasn't anyone done it?
