Now, I know the 2.3 has been done. But has anyone actually swapped an evo head onto like a '99+ Galant 2.4 block? Or can this be done?

You can use a gallant or an Outlander 2.4. The Outlander 2.4 is actually a better fit.

i want to go for 2.4 soon but i am collecting informations.

 

When going 2.4 you need to use the EVO water pump. With the Gallant block you need to make a custom plate to block off some of the jackets for the water pump since the stock EVO pump cannot block all of them off. However the Outlander block is a perfect fit. ( i have not done this swap but after research that is what i found out)
I was planning to go to 2.4 but decided to go with a 2.3.

 

Mynes performance does these swaps all the time they where the first ones to put a 2.4 in a evo.
