Does anyone elses profec B or other boost controllers make a ticking noise when Under Boost?????

 

yes, its normal. its the soleniod opening and closing to keep pressure steady.

 

+1 my profec does it...you'll sooner or later get used to ignoring it...

 

My AVC-R does the same thing. But I swear when I first installed it there was no ticking. Maybe I just did not hear it?

Also my old profec-b made zero noise. Are you guys sure it's not a sign of a problem? It can't be normal. It's a pretty loud ticking/clicking!

 

I've had my Profec for 3 years now, and I've never heard it click...

 

+1 on no tick...had mine for 1.5 years...however, i have an exedy twin disc clutch, 3" TBE and a loud TC...i barely hear my radio lol

 

i never have heard it... cutout intake and a heavy foot.. lol

My original old skool profec b did not make noise, neither did my HKS. The Profec B Type S or whatever the new one with the higher pressure solenoid was called did make noise however. Seems to be the norm for that particular solenoid.
