I don't think you can. Pretty sure the 8 and 9 WG have different brackets and aren't interchangeable.

No, of course not, but the turbo comes with its own WGA anyway...

I didn't think the ix turbo I was geting came with anything but the turbo itself, so do I need 2 buy ne thing else? Or just what's there on lancershop.com ?

Bah. You do not sound like you should be doing a turbo swap. Your typing is absolutely terrible, and you haven't done the research you need to do in order to perform an upgrade like this.

I, too, bought my IX turbo used, but I made absolutely sure that EVERYTHING I needed came with it. It doesn't make sense to me to buy a turbo but not get everything that goes with it. I made sure it was the whole turbo (the turbo should come with the WGA attached), the oil/coolant lines, and the compressor outlet pipe. I personally would never buy anything from Lancershop if I could help it, but those are the parts you need. They can be bought quite cheaply piece by piece of you go by the list given in one of the previous threads on this site talking about the IX turbo conversion on an VIII. Talk to the seller and be sure it has the WGA on it, and try to get those other parts. He has no use for them unless he is upgrading to another IX turbo like a 20g, but that makes no sense, because he could have turned in his stock turbo for a discount.

ok chaz, I installed a ix turbo on my viii, all you need is the installation kit. the turbo it self will come with the wastegate, the evo 9 wastegate is way better than the 8 wastegate, so dont worry bout it. Just but in the turbo, use the installation kit and go from them.. You are worrying me though, if your asking such simple questions are you able to do this install correctly??
