What cams did you boy get? And cam gears?

Shiv is tuning my car.. Vishnu tuning.. LoL if I spending 4000 for 50 trim might as well spend the extra 500 and get a 35r as well...

What's wrong wit the greedy RS? ( Noob ?) LoL

As for the meth I don't feel confortable with it I keep hearing they are not all "fail safe" I would rather pump the race gas then worry if the tank is low and stuff of the alky nature

Then you're "hearing" from the wrong people. Race gas is preferable if you don't mind paying for it 24/7, but if you don't have access to race gas everywhere you go at all times for the life of your Evo, then alky/meth is a great alternative. You have to worry about your gas tank getting low, right? So what's the problem with worrying about your alky tank running low? It gives you a warning light just like the gas gauge...

It is like vishnu8 said more reliable I don't want to force my car to much to make power... I will look into the BR stages.. But the question is should I get the cams...

Looked at the stages from BR.
Stage one: done which is turbo back

Stage two: intake pretty much and uicp, and bov.. I got most will take off rs dv and put on the stock dv

Stage three: cams and fmic.. Which is what I am going to do pretty much just not the fmic as of yet...

Stage four: injectors and fuel pump.. Which would be after the cam install I was going to do...

So I'm pretty much in that process already.. BR does have some nice prices tho.. LoL might get their intake from them and the fmic later on...

You can get a 50 trim from David @ Buschur. He said he is working on a project for a 50 trim under 2000.00!

Just had my brother tuned and my friends car tuned..

Brother:
Greddy Ti catback
Rsr downpipe
Arc intake
And uicp and licp
Walbro fuel pump
Mbc
baseline: 251 and tuned on 91 on a flash made 281 and 290 torque on a Dyno dynamics...boostin 25 tapering to 19-20

My friend:
Hks catback
Helix downpipe
Injen intake and intercoolerpipes
20g-5 blade
720cc injectors
Fuel pump..

But he only made 275 hp... Tuned by eip in san jose..

Now that that's said what I can do to add more power before I get tuned? I have what's in my sig. Thanks

I agree, the reasons why you are dismissing the meth dont make alot of sense. The main detractor of using meth is the corrosive qualities of it and the long term reliability issues that this may cause. I'm sure most of the currently available meth kits are very safe and I've seen some pics on here that look great - for me it is an option to consider if I want to go the 400hp level. Of course I would rather do it with a turbo.

You could go the race gas method and get a pump gas tune @ 21 psi and a race gas tune @ 25psi. I think Al is doing this but I dont know the specifics of switching between the maps. Do you reflash whenever you switch, or do they both reside in the ECU? How would you trigger the switch, anyhow Al or whoever tunes your car can probably tell you.

Also, I could be wrong about this but it's my understanding the 35r is not a great pump gas turbo because it doesnt reach optimal VE until like 30psi? I'm sure it would make decent power on pump but if this is a street car you might consider the increased lag, etc. Seems to me like a 50trim is a great street car turbo but it's an expensive way to go and you CAN go big for about the same price. Drivability will suffer if you go big though.
