Not sure about the numbers I am seeing here but my IX MR just has a 3" TBE W/Race pipe, Intake and MBC.

I had it tuned by ISP in Beltsville MD and I am running 353WHP and 369ft lb of torque on pump gas. spiking to 24PSI holding at 22PSI. When we took the Turbo XS intake off it spiked to 365WHP.

I rather upgrade cams before the turbo. It would give you a better idea if you be satisfied with the power level with the cams. Putting a bigger turbo would not always make your evo more enjoyable.

Cams on the IX

I have seen repeated attempts to add cams to an IX and the gains are nominal. Unless you are definitively upgrading your turbo, It seems cams are almost a waste on an IX

where did you "see" these repeted attempts that failed to make power?

Cams, manifolds, intakes have proven to make more power. it might not fit everyones bill to spent money on the last 20-30hp out of the car, but that is a personal choice

Cams make power just every still. Compares the cams from the 8 and the 9 the 9 cams are not going to make 50 whp alone! The nine needs more supporting mods to make the cams worth it.. I was thinkn of going cosworth if I ever get my 35r they would work perfect with it..

thanks.....i actually am going to go and get my car tuned by Shiv next month. I have the regular bolt on TBE, Fuel pump, 720cc injectors, HKS 272 cams, cam gears, EBC, and Power FC. I am getting FMIC, UICP, LICP, and Evo Green turbo from Forced Performance. I have a EVO 8 and I really want about 350-360 WHP on mustang dyno.

350 on mustang should put you close to 400whp.

Goodluck, i'm waiting on my AMS VSR intake manifold and i'm going to get it retune.

You should get the green with the right mods with a green you can easily make upwards of 400whp plus it spools so much sooner than a 35r, plus it's a lot cheaper..

In my opinion, I would do all the bolt ons, exhaust & intake, FMIC, and a good reliable tune. If you are not satisfied, use a bigger turbo and/or stroke it.
