I think you are mistaken. AMS uses SAE correction factor on every dyno graph I've seen from them.

I dyno A LOT of cars. I dyno a LOT of cars with air intank temp sensors on them with the AEM EMS. I dyno a lot of cars and always datalog AIT's. Did I mention I dyno a lot of cars

All this BS isn't doing much for ANYBODY. One guy buys something from Ebay for $1. Says he likes it and his *** says his car feels better and then a bunch of other guys buy it. STUPID. No other way to put it, just stupid.

I do intensive back to back testing on products and catch hell for trying to sell parts from this testing. Someone else buys it, says they got a good deal for $XX because it was cheap. It's BS.

Get an inlet and outlet temp sensor, get an inlet and outlet pressure sensor, datalog it into a real fuel management and then post how much you like this. You will find out it isn't so great.

There are a few outstanding FMIC's, OUTSTANDING is the key. AMS's largest FMIC and our Race FMIC are two of the best I ever see. I hate to say it but the Nisei wasn't too bad either when I tested it. That's the list. They will hold intake air temps down very low.

Just knowing the core size of this ebay unit I know it won't work as well as the above, period, end of story. Is it worth $150, no.

EVERY single EVO at our shop which is 7 of them, ALL have the race FMIC on it.

Buy the best or come in second place, it's that easy.

Maybe I should put one of these on and prove it, there's one of these at the shop too. Problem is, just like any real test I do, it will turn into, "How does it compare to your XX intercooler or how does it compare to XX"s intercooler?"

Probably not worth the frustration and doubters when the test shows it sucks compared to what you could have bought.

David Buschur,

Put your money where your mouth is. You say the IC sucks, well then do your dyno dance and back it up. Until then it is a simple case of sour grapes.

LOL...I wish he would take the guantlet challenge and then shut up the smug-assed bench tuners who think they know better.

Actually the only real back to back test that would have any meaning would be to test this cooler against the one it copies. The AMS standard core. It would be pointless to show the buschur race core, or AMS race core outperform it. The buschur race core has 30% more front surface and 50% larger core area over this e-bay core. Obviously it will outperform . To prove this e-bay core is junk you have to test it against the AMS original. Only then can we put this debate to bed.

How much is the Race core and would it work with the stock turbo well?

Well if you want it tested back to back with AMS's real intercooler and that is the ONLY real test, then talk to AMS, I don't have one of their intercoolers nor do I care to get one and test it.

So, I have one of these I want to sell since my testing won't prove crap. I'll sell it with free shipping for the Ebay price. Call us, it will be a great deal for you 05EVOGSR.

Yes, our race FMIC will work with the stock turbo, absolutely. It's all I recommend to anyone, the best is what I always recommend. It is $695.

The reason I hate to say anything about the Nisei is from the huge fight we had probably a year ago. I tested it back to back to ours. I still have hard feelings over their data and crap but...................it worked pretty good. NOT the best but good enough to say it's decent.

So there we have it. Going to catch crap no matter what on this intercooler test as I suspected. One of you guys looking for one do me a favor and call us, I want it out of my way. I could care less if it works or not, it's certainly not worth me taking more crap from some of the EVOm members over.

Mr. Buschur, I have a lot of respect for everything that you do for the Evo community, and you are always striving to move us forward but, you even get benefits with what you call EBAY junk, read what warrtalon has to say about EBAY o2.

Quote from Warrtalon, which I also respect,

"I had mine ported by Buschur, and it was great...until we saw the Ebay o2, which puts any ported stocker to shame. The results were verified on the dyno, too, so Buschur stopped porting stockers and started selling the Ebay o2s coated..."

The bottom line on this Evo community is that, if someone finds a knock off or a different way to make more power for less money with a product that is not from one of the main retailers, automatically people start trashing and talking bad about the product that they have not experience in person the difference before and after the upgrade!!! If I can get something cheaper and get the same results, why pay more?

true not everything on ebay is crap, tech. if the bore is bigger on the o2 housing and it is sealed with no leaks then the only other thing you would have to worry about if it cracks or not.
so the question is if the ebay intercooler could perform or not???? is it better then stock??? and is it comparable to the "Name Brand" or the "Real One" or maybe out perform them ????
on the other hand how come nobody says anything about JDM Brands Like HKS or ARC compared to AMS and Buschers???? they almost cost twice as much as the US tuners, Why??? i admit the craftmanship of the JDM TUner are a work of art, but is there any benifit beside the Bling Factor to spending all that money for something the Brand X Can do The same?????
THE GOLDEN QUESTION

Your car can rev to 8,000? Wow, I'd be a little afraid to do that in mine.

And which 11.1 second SRT-4 did you have? We are big in the SRT-4 world.

The XS Power, SSautochrome, etc... are all the same crap. Same chinese manufactuer and many different rebadged name.
