The EBAY Intercooler
Are you crazy? Nisei makes some of the nicest products and sells them at a reasonable price. Their attention to detail and build quality are outstanding.
Quote from Warrtalon, which I also respect,
"I had mine ported by Buschur, and it was great...until we saw the Ebay o2, which puts any ported stocker to shame. The results were verified on the dyno, too, so Buschur stopped porting stockers and started selling the Ebay o2s coated..."

I thought that Buschur or AMS was in the process of testing this unit. I use the SSAC exhaust and it looks, works, and sounds great. I have used it for the last 2 years. The FMIC I used for about 10 minutes and was leaking so bad that I put it back on ebay and made 75 bucks on it.
No one but SSAC know where their cores come from. I know that AMS uses a top of the line bar/plate core. The difference between the two may look the same inside and out but I would guess they have big differences. I haven't compared the two up close but I did take my SSAC to AMS just to show them what it looks like. I now use the AMS fmic and am very happy with it and I know for sure that it works. The ebay is completely heresay. If someone can proove on paper that the ebay works just as good as AMS, well AMS will just have to come up with something better. For now i'd stand behind AMS.

Dave,
Your fist post contained nothing but bashing! Maybe you can get this thread deleted like you did with VIP's S200 thread. After all the Ebay FMIC will hurt your business. You pretty much said "That IC sucks buy the BEST one from me for 695$"
All this BS isn't doing much for ANYBODY. > Eh...no ****
STUPID. No other way to put it, just stupid. > Yes you are, way to talk to the Evom members!
It's BS. > Eh...Yea for the second time
Buy the best or come in second place, it's that easy. > Not Really
Probably not worth the frustration and doubters when the test shows it sucks compared to what you could have bought. > Nice way to put it
I could care less if it works or not, it's certainly not worth me taking more crap from some of the EVOm members over. > Way to win potential customers
I must admit you have a fantastic selection of good parts but your business ethics are substandard crap..... And you need a huge slice of>

Please stop posting so we can keep the thread! Thanks!

every time the Ebay IC is mentioned in a post, $hitz get out off control. I find it odd that it’s mostly the vendors who bash this intercooler.
I think it’s only relevant to test this intercooler against the stock and not the AMS. We all know that the AMS damn well better performs better than the Ebay IC for the money you’re spending on it, how much better is not really import. What’s important is how the Ebay IC compares to stock because people who buy the Ebay IC are replacing the stock IC, not replacing the AMS. If the $700 IC makes 5-10 hp more than the Ebay IC, I can live with that as long as the Ebay IC performs better than stock, that’s all you guys should really car about.

There are a few outstanding FMIC's, OUTSTANDING is the key. AMS's largest FMIC and our Race FMIC are two of the best I ever see. I hate to say it but the Nisei wasn't too bad either when I tested it. That's the list. They will hold intake air temps down very low.
Just knowing the core size of this ebay unit I know it won't work as well as the above, period, end of story. Is it worth $150, no.
Even if the Ebay intercooler or any Ebay part was better it would never be said by any vendor. They would lose business....period. We all know this.
