wow what a thread, some of you guys crack me up. You're not going to hit 400whp w/o running the meth and the cams end of story. 400whp on pump wont happen on 93 octane. BADEVO if you hit 400whp on pump you must have some huge cams and/or some other mods your not disclosing.

I can list off all the mods to the car. As far as cams go it has GSC 272/272.
I'll copy and paste all my mods man, I aint tryin to BS no one. I was just adding to the conversation. No need for me to lie I dont drag the car anyway so its not about bragging rights to me.

Dyno #s are simply a benchmark on the car and then you can see if your mods are working or not...
Before the cams and custom tune i had 329 on a dynojet and 299 on a dyno dynamics without changing anything, 6 days apart and the dynojet dyno day was a little bit hotter...
After the cams and custom tune i saw 337 on the same dyno dynamics with almost the same conditions. Haven't been on the same dynojet yet but i bet i will see a bit over 370, at the same boost pressure always... hope to do it next week...
Using the dynos as a way to meter my gains from this mod shows 12% increase in power and that's what counts...
Now for someone who likes numbers i bet that we can see 400whp on the DJ on pump gas simply because from my car i am missing lots of bolt-ons that can help...
Currently i have:
- apexi power intake
- hallman boost controller
- fuel pump
- cosworth cams
- head studs
- 3 inch downpipe
- 3 inch high flow cat (Ultimate racing...)
- 3 inch Invidia G200 catback
- custom tune
...and i saw that numbers with 22psi spike on Sunoco 93 octane
Now i will also install:
- o2 housing
- ported exhaust manifold or tubular manifold (haven't decided yet)
- testpipe
- forge wastegate actuator
- intercooler piping kit
- maybe aftermarket intercooler
...thus completing all the bolt-ons that the EVO can take...
i believe that the above parts CAN EASILY GIVE 30whp on the dynojet at 23-24psi spike thus exceeding 400whp on pump gas... I think that the 300whp is very realistic from the various tests and dynos that we have seen from Evo owners, vendors, tuners etc etc...
Just the testpipe worths at least 10whp more (and thats something tha Dynoflash and The Shop told me and it is proven many times)... Now start adding the rest parts...
Numbers are numbers and i agree 100% that the trap speeds are trap speeds, but don't forget... you have to be able and drive the car... for example i maybe have a 400whp evo and i cannot trap over 105-108mph just because i don't know how to change gears fast, or at what rpm to change... (i am not saying that i cannot drive...)
Soon, when i have the dynojet number after the cam swap and before i install other parts on the car, i will post them just for a comparison...
