Stock clutch is best unless you want to beat the car. I had the Exedy twin plate and it was definitely less streetable. To each is own, but for everyday driving I'd vote stock.

As for killing a clutch. You should see what a VW TDI can do to a stock clutch after chip and injectors... Going from 150 to 325lb ft does bad stinky things to a stock POS clutch.
Been there done that with chip and cat-back but on my 1.8T

Well....I will admit..I truly believe that the dumbest question is the one that never gets asked (seriously). FWIW...Evo's are one of the highest rated performance cars out there. HOWEVER, I personally think that the clutch on a VESPA is much stronger than an evo oem clutch. On the other hand....I am proud to have 62.5K miles on my oem...(no drag launches!) :-)

Sorry but there are alot of times when I have better things to do when Im in a hurry then sift through 5billion pages of alot of useless crap to try and find just the answer Im looking for. Alot of us dont mind answering simple questions to help someone out because sometime in the future we might need help in return.

Unless of course its one of the "How Can I Make the PFFFT Blow-Off Valve Noise" questions. Then there should be a lynching!

Wait... you mean there is an easy and BETTER way to make that noise and I didn't know about it?! Swoon!!!

Actually I don't want to hang anyone for asking a question that many of us would find simplistic but this one was sorta a tee shot.

I have the Cusco Twin Disc which is the same as the Exedy and it is very streetable. Since you are doing the clutch anyways you might as well upgrade.

lolololololo, of course a police officer with an evo will have good mileage on his clutch..... it would be wrong to speed! by the way, if you're a real cop, have you chased anyone down in the 'vo? lollololo, that would rule! oh, and i vote "clutch".

Funny you should say that! About 2 weeks ago I chased a DUI (lexus SC300)down the grapevine till the CHP showed up....when you tell dispatch your an off duty cop... they tell ya "have at it!" I wouldn't have done it though if it wasn't 3:30 AM (NO traffic)
