just wondering if anyone has tried measuring before?

i was thinking the same thing. was thinking of hooking up a temp gauge in the inlet after the ic. so i can tell what my temps are under different cercumstances

Abner,

I will personally perform the test for you tomorrow. I do have two different temperature devices, one is a infrared heatgun and the other one is a probe(looks like the one found o the MAF) with a digital reader.

I posted an article on NASIOC 4 years ago on my WRX consisting on testing the temps inside the hood with a custom made air cooler duct.

Thanx for the offer!!

i think in this case, surface temp of IC is not accurate enough.....was think of data collected with exposed thermocouple in the in/out air stream
