Fuel Pump...
I am sorry if certain parts of my post came across as insulting. However, I assure you that no insult was intended. I was just trying to say that my own opinion isn't worth sh*t...not your opinion or anyone else's opinon, other than my own. I realize that I didn't express myself well. At any rate, I apologize for any misunderstanding which my statements may have caused.
Given that this is a discussion forum, and I was concerned because I thought that the 37R was capable of moving a lot more air, at pressures in excess of 34+ psi, than the WALBRO was capable of delivering fuel for, even when hotwired to 13.4 volts. Just as the 255 LPH WALBRO is routinely recommended, even BEFORE it is needed, as "insurance" as one of the most basic and essential fuel delivery mods on a stock turboed car. I figured that maybe the WALBRO 340 becomes marginal at best in your particular application. But I recognize that this is just my unsubstantiated opinion, which admittedly is worth sh*t, because I don't have any numbers or pump flow figures to back it up. Ultimately, I was just concerned that your setup was, in my personal opinion, dangerously underfueled. But, I guess I was wrong. I've been wrong countless times before.
Incidentally, a fuel pressure gauge is a direct reading instrument and can tell you at a glance if your car is leaning out due to insufficient pump delivery volume. Or it can tell you if your pump is getting tired and needs replacement. It gives a direct reading whereas AFR is only an indirect reading, or extrapolation, thus, a ratio, derived from contrasting two, direct readings.
For me at least, the wideband, air/fuel ratio reading's primary value is as a tuning reference, whereas fuel pressure, oil pressure, and EGT's are direct readings which provide immediate indications of your motor's state of health during a WOT event. By contrast, air/fuel ratios are more useful for tuning purposes and analysis AFTER a WOT run. This also, is just my opinion.
Edit: Personally, I admire you for running the 37R on a tight budget. I would like to ditch my car's 16G for a BR 3065 kit...but I don't have the money. I bought my Evo secondhand, and had to almost break the bank to do it. I sincerely apologize if I came across as a moneyed modifier who just solves things by throwing more and more cash at the problem. Best wishes and good luck with your car. And may God bless!

I wasn't insulting anyone. Furthermore, I wasn't aware that I was trying to save face. Whatever that means. And I wasn't aware that I was close to censure since I wasn't attacking anyone, either directly or indirectly, FWIW.
Hey, I know you don't care what I think, but my concern was for the integrity of his engine. I just don't want it to suffer a catastrophic failure due to destructive detonation resulting from a too lean condition.
I am quite sure you're right!

Yes, I agree with you 100%

Some reason u ppl believe that money comes hand over fist. The turbo kit was a stretch for him to get ahold of and has had minimal problems @ this point...... You keep screaming more parts more parts more parts like someone can bust there entire savings on it.

The car runs excellent as is and has had this one issue. It has had no fuel starvation issue's until now and im sure wont have any more in the future knowing the cause...

Anyway i think some people need to think back and recall that this is a hobby and maybe people should be a little more understanding when coming to a public forum asking for help..... I mean isnt that what this place is for to voice concerns and ask questions???

Also i didnt mean to come off so harsh but there was a question proposed and then the answers for the question had not been answered yet just suggested as others. Most likely i would say the car isnt even capable of fully utilizing the 37R. A stock 2.0 with a stock head and 272 cams it doesnt seem to me its the best fit. The car runs well but the turbo for sure isnt used at its full potential but that will all come in time. I believe that my friend zach here was trying to do this on a budget and got an excellent deal on the kit. from the beginning he had planned to get a 35R but this sorta just came along. Im sure in the near future he will be upgrading the fuel system and the tech that you guys supplied will be a great help in looking at different options. Thanks for your suggestions and once again i am also sorry for coming off very harsh. The general Search button mentallity around here gets a bit old though lol.....
