Unproperly tuned ecu will blow your motor. Detonation, knock, ect.....

There are lot's of well known tuners on this board.
Contact each one and go with the one your comfortable with.

Des plaines?? Ill.... Lol....AMS is the next Suburbs from you.
Exactly what I was thinking lol. Fuel cut does exactly the opposite of blowing a motor.

Strange. I had a TBE without tune (came with the car) and I didn't get fuel cut until I installed my MBC. Then I just plugged in my laptop and maxed out the boost limit. Free is good.

when u guys say: "oh, just get an MBC and tune and u'll be fine!" that doesnt just mean MBC and tune, right?
i mean u need AT LEAST a wideband and a boost gauge to monitor the car when you tune it.

right?

Or you could just pay someone to do it on a dyno.

yes, it just means get a mbc and a tune (mail out flash, e-flash, road tune, or dyno tuned). of course you need a boost gauge. you can get a wideband if you want to verify your a/f ratio or tuning yourself.

I would highly recommend some of you spend time researching your car. There are some "eye opening" responses in this thread. A basic understanding of turbo charged engines as a complete system is a great start.

My point is that adding a larger diameter TBE without any tuning may reduce performance. Secondly, fuel cut is a safety feature to protect the motor from excessive boost. You need to ensure you have the proper supporting mods before you have your ECU re-flashed. Removing fuel cut via a flash without understanding the triggers that cause it can result in converting piston mass to liters. Particularly during cold weather.

Fuel cut occurs at 1700 Hz Karman value at 20°C and 1000 mbar atmospheric pressure approx. That is roughly 1.2 bars relative boost. If you don't understand this paragraph, then research until you do prior to tinkering with mods and fuel cut on your 30K baby.

And finally to the OP, if you are talking about racing on the street, please respect our rules concerning illegal activities.

He does not need injectors... This is false.

But if he insists, I will sell him a set.
