Precision 6152E (630hp rated) ????

i agree 100%. i had the 6152S on my 07 sti and it was absolute junk. wouldnt spool, made no power and exploded 2x in under 3,000 miles. went with a garrett 35r and it was so much better i cant even put it into words. spool was over 2,000 rpm faster and it made a ton more power.

here is a 23psi pump pull in 6th gear! laggy was an understatement.



now here is a 3rd gear pull with the 35r, no other changes.

There must have been something very wrong with your buddy's car. The Sc61 is basically a poor mans 35r. It uses a stage V wheel and makes really good power. You should see 30psi between 4200-4500 with a .82 hot side. How do I know? Because I did it.

Power levels should be around about or or just a tad lower than the standard non HTA 35r's of the world.

I think its still a pretty good turbo for the price and performance.

Edit: Just noticed how old this thread is lol..

I had for a couple of years ago one precision sc6152 with a dnp 55 manifold on my evo 3.
We made 502 whp on a dynojet and had fullboost at 4800rpm 2.3bar.
I say precision is a great turbo, but they aren't the cheapest turbo.

Thank you very much! there isnt much information out there about what fits what or why it will or wont work or what turbine shafts are in what turbo etc, in fact not much is ever mentioned about the hot side housings/turbine shafts period and its stupid. Precision turbos site SUCKS DICK, they dont even list the 6152 or any information on any of their turbos? never been a good site for finding out what you are expected to spend $1000+ on, I dont know how they are still in business, arrogant ******.
