Supporting Mods For 50trim?

okay after much reading of the posts i decided to go with the 50trim kit from Turbo Trix, they will do everything for me.
My question is a lot of guys here are saying they have the 50 trim turbo kit with all the necessary supporting mods, most of the guys just mention basic supporting mods but I have no idea what to do, all i know is I want the most power I can with this kit and my budget.
my car is bone stock NO MODS, what supporting mods do i need with this kit?

PLEASE if someone can give me a correct answer as what to get with the 50 trim turbo kit, PLEASE if you can list all items.

Thanks in advance.

my budget is 6 grand.

Wouldn't it make perfect sense to ask this question to TurboTrix, since they are doing everything? They can tell you best what you need for your 50-trim setup based off your desires. Once they give you the recommended list, you could bounce it off us to see if it jives.

If 6k is your total budget, I don't see how you can do a TT 50-trim unless you meant 6k in addition to the 50-trim kit...

If you are doing things with Turbotrix, tell Keith to make you a custom intake for the 50trim, install CAMS (HKS 272's or whatever) TBE, MBC, and the works, if you run on pump gas you will make good power, if you want more, AEM EMS, and alcohol injection, thats gonna make a ton of power.

Good luck

i wouldn't go in there telling them you have 6k to spend... cause theyre going to take every penny you have

basically everything i have in my sig. i have a dump... you may want a full exhaust.

next step for me is the gsc s2 cams. then i'll be ready for a s256 or 35r.

i would keep an extra 2k for a clutch and install too... that's going to be gone in 5k with that much power.

cheers!

Bah, not really...I've dealt with Bean from TT a number of times thinking I either broke something or needed something I didn't and he always explained in great detail what I should do....4 out of the 5 times I went to him I didn't spend a dime even though they could've taken advantage of my paranoia.

Yeah, isn't the kit 3k or so? It's going to cost a lot just for the kit + installation, then you'll need a strong clutch, which is at least 2k with installation. 6k is not really enough to do a turbo upgrade if you are stock.

Well, read what I just wrote. Aren't you paying for them to install everything? That's a lot of labor cost in addition to the cost of the kit plus the cost of a nice clutch and even more labor. We're at over 5k before talking about any supporting mods, which will be another 3k or so with tuning.

The catalog on TT's site is down, so I'm having to guess that it's 3k for the kit, and I'm guessing the kit includes the turbo, exhaust manifold, licp, o2 housing, intake, wastegate, and BOV. Here's the breakdown of costs:

- 50-trim (plus everything listed above) = $3k
- Install of 50-trim = $300?
- Exedy Twin HD = $1350
- Install of Clutch = $500?
- TBE = $600-800
- MBC = $85
- FMIC = $600-800
- Fuel pump = $85
- Injectors = $400
- UICP = $200
- Cams = $500
- Install for all of the above = $600?
- Flash tune = $500
Total w/install = $8700-9100

And this is just for a pump gas setup that makes ~400whp. You'd need another $500 for alky injection to make ~450whp. That's also assuming on the install prices, which could very well be higher.

I would suggest that you should go step by step....
Start off with basic mods like Exhaust,Walbro Fuel Pump,FMIC,Cams,ECU,Meth kit,Boost controller,Clutch and then the turbo kit.

im sure that turbo trix can put everything in writing for you. ask them if they can give you a brake down of everything on paper before you go thru with this.
