Im looking to switch from my srt-4 to an evo9. Before everyone starts freakin out im not a hater, I love all fast cars. My srt-4 has a gt3076r with an aem ems but front wheel drive is just killing me. This is what I was thinking for the evo, I want to run 10's on the stock block.... is that common?
I have a gt3582r sitting in my room that I was planning on putting on the srt, i figure I could use that. 750cc injectors, trade my srt-4 ems for an evo aem ems, do a clutch exhaust fuel pump etc. Do you think a setup along those lines would be able to run 10's or is there anything I should rethink or maybe its just not possible on the stock longblock.
Let me know
Thanks

I heard the Evo IX's can run 10's with just a BOV
jk. Switch over to the AWD. You won't regret it. There are a bunch of people on this forum running 10's on there IX's. I would look at what they are using.

1. Prepare yourself
Well 10's on the stock block is possible but not easily done or done by many. The gt3076 will not get you into the 10's a gt35 is needed.
Buschur went 9.97 on his bolt-on gt35 kit but his car has every single engine power mod.
It not as simple as fuel pump, head studs, gt35, clutch = 10's.
I would try and use the stock turbo to its limit dan B. has gone 11.4@118/119 and more importantly figuring out how to launch an AWD car first on the stock turbo instead of a gt35 would be more forgiving to your drivetrain.
Once you have that done you would need a good amount of mods to install the gt35. Check out www.buschurracing.com for the recommended upgrades before going for a bigger turbo.
10's are possible on stock snail with spray.

Ok I went on buschur's site.
3" Exhaust
Cams
Upgraded Fmic
Injectors
Pump
Stud kit
then the next stage is big turbo... doesnt seem to bad, do these cars need an aftermarket FPR ever, I know on the srt-4 we have to convert to a return fuel system, Im guessing the evo has a return stock, is an aftermarket FPR a common mod for you guys?

Ultimate CC is right, you will need to build the engine and upgrading the clutch and the transmission is a must on a super high boost track car.
