how long should it take to install these????

clutch
ams vsr w/works tb
tranny swap(going from 6-speed to 5-speed shep)
motor mounts
aem ems w/all sensors and boost solenoid
short shifter
oil change
injectors/fuel pump
zeitronix
dynotime for stock turbo on 91 and 104

the reason why i ask is because i am having all these stuff done right now at a reputable shop in socal - which i will not name at this time but it has taken over 4 weeks already and it is not done yet. and supposedly it will be done by the end of this week, which obviously would be 5 weeks. is this to long or is it normal, is my question?

if the shop is busy with other project its usually takes longer to finish, but if not should take them longest 1week unless they dont know what they doing.

Did you provide the parts? If not, then that could be the issue...

Assuming all the parts are present when the work is started, this should take 3 days maximum including the dyno time.

Like TxEvo8 said, did you supply the parts? If not then I bet that the shop is waiting for the Shep racing transmission.

They might be bussy with other work, And that is alot of work to be done on any car, They might be waiting on parts that they need to finish the project. If I were you I would go there every day and check on the car. And the car might have a few extra miles on it because they could have test driven it. If there is more than 5-10 miles on it after you dropped it off then I would be very upset if it was my car.

you got about 2.5-3 days worth of work there. If they're not waiting on parts, it's too long. They shouldn't even schedule you in unless they can start on the almost immediately.

i totally agree with you, they must of rescheduled me 2 times or something. but they should not schedule me unless they knew they could work on it. seems like most people are saying a solid 3-5 days worth of work- so that tells me that 5 weeks is way to long, i mean way to long!!!

2-3 days you guys are on crack...if its a shop that doesnt normally deal w/ evos (which it probably is) all that shiot is gonna take more time than expected to install. The clutch + tranny swap probably has them confused as hell but I def dont think it should take 4-5 weeks. Plus you have to remember its a business and they probably only work 9-5 and they have other customers they have to deal with besides you.
