I too have their intake, put it on about a week and half ago, noticed the idling thing as well but it just seems to be prominent at start up and smooths out once the engine has warmed. I installed a small k&n air filter for the valve cover breather and just left the other hose that was attatched to the stock mass air pipe hanging out of harms way, there's talk that this hose has something to do with the ecu's control of the wastegate, don't know for sure but I asked Dave on his forum about it and should have a response soon. What did you end up doing with that hose? I'm anxious to compare notes on this intake as I haven't heard of anyone else that has one.

What other hose? I undid the stock airbox and put in the new intake. There was no other hose. I did not replace the tubing from the turbo to the MAF if thats what you are refering to?

I didn't have an Idle problem.. If you removed the MAF sensor to get the box off, just double check that everything is connected ok and no apparent air leaks. If the car feels a bit doggy, Disconnect the positive battery cable for about 15 minutes, and then reconnect it to force an ECU reset, then drive the car for a day or two so it re-learns.. The car felt weaker the first day I had it.. But feels alot stronger now (A few weeks have passed) I did pick up a little power upstairs with the new filter.. Its not much, but enough to feel.

ok let me clarify, I installed the BR mass air pipe and the air filter kit, sorry I'm not used to refering to an air filter swap as an intake install, the BR mass air pipe does away with the two hoses that run from the stock one, one goest to the valve cover for a breather hose, the other has something to do with the bleed out of the selonoid, Dave Buschur said that this is redirected back into the mass air pipe because the car can't come from the factory venting such things due to emmisions standards, you basically just zip tie it somewhere where it can vent and be out of harms way. now if anyone has a BR mass air pipe and the filter, that's what I was talking about in the first place it would be cool to hear other experiences. Sorry w2pac12345, didn't mean to hijack the tread, just when I replied to you I just thought you were talking about the mass air pipe not just the air filter kit "intake".

My car was idling funny because one of the bolts to the MAF was defective and cause me to spin the socket wrench into the grill. The grill got dented but my friend straightened it out and only idles funny when the engine is cold.

Shouldn't you have capped that? It would seem to me your turbo would now be sucking in unfiltered air. I dont know about the EVO but my hose connects to a nipple behind the mass on the, on the snorkel that leads to the turbo. I would assume yours does to.
