rough idle with intake
rough idle with intake
yea i just put on an intake on my 08 lancer and wen i start it. the car idles rough for a few seconds and wen im at low rpms the car feels like it lose power. can any1 help me or any suggestions
hard to say, i know with a exhaust upgrade the effects are pronounced, an intake should be slightly different at idle but not rough. Give it a day, the Mivec idle stablization should even it out. Drive it around for 50 miles or so and see what happens
the intake i put on was a custom i bought a filter, maf sensor adapter, and connecter rubber. but the plate to put on my car so the bolts arnt on so i taped it down until i found something to bolt it on and my engine light came on could that be wat made the light come on. i could put it down with the bolts but it would be at angle and reset the engine light would that work. thank u
Wow...is english your second language cause I read it twice and was still confused. You probably have an intake that the MAF does line up right which is throwing the code and the rough idle. These things are very finaky sp? You need to have things lined up and just like factory otherwise there are all the fun things that happen with these new electronic cars these days.
If the engine light is on, you have an active code and its probably the maf.
If the light has gone out since you "bolted it down properly" I would then disconnect the batteries for a while and let the ecu reset itself. Some guys on here like blacksheep and I think evo soul know this better than me. But let it reset and relearn, drive it for 20 miles or so and see how it reacts. Good luck
