my ring and pinion gear needs to be replaced, i think. don't know for sure until i full the tranny and t-case this weekend. Shepherd said they don't replace ring and pinion. TRE didn't reply to my email. i can't believe that the two biggest gear head on DSM and Evo don't have access to ring and pinion gears. anyone have success with this somewhere else. are there any aftermarket parts from Japan?

ok, i'm taking about transfer case, more specifically the ring and pinion gear, not tranny. i know that Shep and TRE rebuild tranny. I emailed Shep and they said they don't replace ring and pinion.

i didn't try TurboTrix though, i'll contact them tomorrow.

 

I would think many times using TRE...Very bad experience i paid 2k + for supposed to be brand new TC but as soon installed its start making noise and Jon will attempt to blame you for everything just ot get away from their suppose to be Warranty.

unfortunately you can not just buy the ring and pinion from mitsu. Due to the fact that its not offered. Also there are no overseas companies that make replacements. This is one of the big reasons that you must be very careful choosing the fluid that is used in your t-case!

 

You can buy a TC from shepard on his site its like $2500 I believe..

 

I heard Buschur just started repairing them. Give them a call and see if they can take care of you.

 

they recently advertise that they were doing tranny, but i don't think they do transfer case.

 

at the moment.. we don't offer any rebuilding of the transfer case..
