tre or shep trans....

who would you go with for a built 5 speed. Shepard or tre.

They both are great companies that do great work with the Evo drivetrain. You will get people who feel strongly with using one over the other, but they both do great work.

I've heard quite a few complaints about the customer service offered by TRE..but of corse that doesn't affect their expertise one bit. I know I'm going with Shep though once I get some more "skrilla"

shep...he is the nicest guy i have talked to....really good customer service...i dont need to even talk about his rep...it speaks for itself...i have been dealing with him since i got my 90 TSi....great guy

just call or email shep and ask him some questions...see how he treats you and then base your opinion off of the fact that he has the quickest 4cyl AWD car ever...he backs up everything on the track...TRE might also ...but who got AWD DSM's into the 8's and now 7's

i have talked to both. Shep and tre were nice guys and gave me all the info i needed.
Its just tre is about 1g cheaper

well i guess if your not trying to get your car into the 8's or something it really doesnt matter who you go with. becuase at the HP levels im guessing your going to shoot for its really a matter of price for you...
