full-race is the only header that made power when buschur tested. If you don't feel like spending a grand just port and coat the stock one. I went with the megan route and it cracked real bad on me after a year. however my car did run good with it but its not worth it since it will most likely not last long.

it isent a grand to do the stocker, at PPI internally port/polish only $65.00, internal port/polish and swaintech coat (which is pretty expensive itself) $229.00 and port/polish of both the interior and exterior removing the antilag ports and heat sheild mounts from the exterior is $319. Thr FR is $1200.00

Ok guys, stop holding out on the kid, the XSPower ebay manifold makes the best power out of them all.

I just read in Modified Mag or Import Tuner that they put a DC header on an 9. I think it was 10 hp with 25 tq. I will see if I can find it.

the better an engine breathes, the more it is going to benefit from the right manifold.

the evo9 has a better head, better valvetrain, better cams and a better turbo. As a result, it will pick up significantly more power from breathing upgrades than a stock turbo would.

Is there a certain amount you have it ported? In terms of mm? I mean I would assume I wouldn't just go to a shop and say "here, port it".

Thanks.

I'd recommend PPI. full internal porting with a swaintech ceramic coating for $210 shipped. Way better than the Jet Hot stuff that some other vendors use. I'll post some pics when I receive mine in a couple weeks.

You are exactly right. We gasket match the ports so they will flow the best possible. Then we deep port the runners so they match the ports. If you opt for the Swaintech coating you will lower your underhood temps and have something awesome to look at. You will not be disappointed with a PPi manifold.

Speaking from experience I have owned the SSAC tubular manifold and I had to have one welded because it cracked, on this car it was still using the stock O2 housing so there is no reason it should have had the weight stress that cracks these. It may look cool but looks are not everything.

Who's to say the ported and coated stocker wouldn't flow enough for bigger turbos? It's never been tested, and BR uses a cast manifold on large turbos that seems to be very similar to the stocker...

I think you have no idea what you're talking about.

There was a time that you didn't know anything and guys like ME had to help you through it, and still do. Pitiful, if your not here to help, then that means your asking questions yourselves. To answer the thread starters questions, the stock manifold is fine with the stock turbo. The restriction in the exhaust is not from the manifold its self, it's in the small turbine section of the stock turbo. So, no matter what you do in the manifold, your still stuck with a restriction at the turbine section. Port it and have fun. Thats about the best you can do. Also, run the biggest exhaust you can find.....3+in from turbo back. That will help out a lot with backpressure and thus EGT's will be lower and it will allow you to run more ignition timing and boost safely.

Here is a link to Buschur Racings turbos. He only uses tubular manifolds on turbos that are larger than a GT35R.
