So in theory, it seems if you get......

- the special "air pipe c" with the two DV outlets
- the special DV/solenoid
- the tubing
- the jdm manifold.......

You could install this on a USDM car.

I wonder if it would be worth it???
If you look at the ROM image in ECUflash you will see that there is something there to be controled by the ECU. Obviously its deactivated for USDM cars.

I know that theres settingd in ECUFLash, as I use it everyday.

It just looks like the special valve is controlled by a vaccumm hose, but there must be some wiring, cuz of the ECU setting.

guys don't get too excited about the jdm "antilag" from the factory. it is really called SAS - secondary air system, and it is a very mild form of antilag. it puts a small amount of air into the exhaust manifold after wot is held for about five seconds. there is no loud popping or major boost being built as you expect from a propper antilag. this has been covered ad nauseam on www.lancerregister.com.

Curious about this highlighted section. I have been very close to an Evo VII both when off at parque ferme and while it was running on stage and it was BOTH very loud and built boost like a champ with the factory ecu and hardware (ran a Ralliart spec ECU). Is it mild just from the factory with factory settings, or can it be made more aggressive?

well there are a couple of different types of antilag. the most common here being for drag. basically dumping large amounts of fuel and retarding timing at brief off throttle or at rpm cuts (limiter, no lift shifting etc) so that it ignites in the hot e.mani and spins the turbine. true rally antilag will use stepper motors or injectors to physically inject a good amount of air via throttle body bypass valves or throttle body itself (stepper motor scenario) . its complex system that can regulate boost in an off throttle position for longer periods of time..

the jdm ALS/SAS just isnt physically capable of all this. can't inject enough air etc for hardcore antilag

Have a read of what I posted here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=234231&page=2

But like Nitz said the factory version doens't work in the same way that the rally cars anti-lag does. You could easily take off the pipe work and not even notice a difference.
