Installed TBE, Lost power, UPDATE WITH GRAPH

UPDATE IN FIRST POST********************************************** ************************************************** ***

Well, i just put on a TBE and logged some third gear pulls.

Using Dataloglabs program, i overlayed my last third gear pull prior to the addition of the TBE to the current set-up.

The only thing that changed between runs was the TBE. Same boost and everything else constant.

before:323hp 303tq
After:302hp 297tq

I monitored knock and there was around 3 counts max during spool-up then none all the way to red-line.

Timing was pulled slightly around spoolup as well.

I also noticed that i was hitting different load cells (297 load with TBE, 270 without) I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Anyone else have the same results after installing a TBE?

I do not want to name the TBE but it is a very reputable company, i just want to know why my car reacted negativly to the exhaust. And it has a HFC.

UPDATE:******************************************* ************************************************** *****************

After razorlab kindly pointed me into the right direction, i made the appropriate changes to my fuel table and boost settings, and this is the result....

http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...evo/HP-lab.jpg

Benchmark is the latest, dark colored lines are the problem lines...

This is a comparison between my previous best, to current with TBE and minor changes....

Again, light colors are most current (TBE slight tune) versus dark colored (previous best)

That makes no sense at all, im assuming with the HP numbers this was done on a dyno, and was it retuned? Although, even without a retune you should be gaining 25-30 wheel on a TBE.

No i will tune it soon myself via ECUflash once my wideband comes in. There was no tuning done between the two runs, i did the pulls at the same location and relative temps between both runs.

I agree, there is no reason for you to be losing power, How about the ambient conditions? Temp, humidity etc.

Temps in both runs were 36-39 degrees. humidity was the same...I cant think of any logical explanations as to why this happened. IM going to log somemore runs right now and see what happens...

Maybe My car ECU has to get used to it

wow, that is weired. I gained like 20WHP after turbo back. load cell increase means that you are pulling in more air. May be you are having boost leak somewhere?

post pictures of your exhaust and someone will be able to identify it

your car should not have lost power...if anything, you should've lost bottom end due to bigger piping and gained top.

With a TBE, less backpressure=faster spool which usually means increased bottom end torque correct?

I just got back from more data logging and this is a current log....

Normal.

ECU automatically reduces boost because of increased airflow if i recall correctly (the airflow part not ecu reducing boost).

Great gains can be made from a custom reflash on the IX, I would get a mbc + tune.

Also. at 3406 RPM, you can see my 3 counts of knock which i didnt have before. I know its not much, but it could still be pulling timing.

I have a hallman MBC set to 23psi spike, 20ish psi redline. I am tuning it myself once my wideband gets in.
