I have the Avid mount (because I thought anything over 65 durometer would make the car undriveable). The increase in vibration, for me, is noticeable. I have thought about taking it off and maybe putting window weld (an old trick) in the stock mount and see if that works. I would love to hear others opinions on the Avid mount to see if they're similar to mine.

I just changed the front motor mount which is underneath the motor. I put some powerflex made of polyeutharine.

I just used a chizzle and hammer and banged the stock one out and then put in the polys. I noticed a bit improvement while shifting high rpms, and as far as vibration goes I do not hear any vibration.

I can still say though the 1-2 is not how i want it because I shift really fast and it still doesnt go in sometimes.

Yeah from the EVOs I"ve driven I've noticed that the super stiff mounts give off a lot of vibration (as they are intended to). I peronally prefer the Ralliart mounts, the vibration is not noticeable, but the improvement in shift feel is.

As for the Gruppe-S Engine Torque Damper, there is substantial improvement in shift "smoothness" and response after installing it. For $99 it was a pretty decent mod considering I have the early 03 tranny which is pretty sloppy...

Cheers,

Gary

i have the avid set, my motor and tranny are out of the car every mount except the tranny mount fits like pure sex, now this tranny mount is absolute garbage! and that is an under-statement at best. i didnt recieve the metal spacer with them but even with that it still looks questionable, anyone else notice this? i will post pics tommorow, a.m

I have the agency power lower and side motor mount replacements. I noticed a big difference in launch and shift. I have decent vibration at idle (have 272 i/e cams) but don't notice it when driving. Instant power in high rpm shifts. I can't wait for the track to open.

I had the same issue wiht the AVID Trans mount, it did not fit. I took several pictures and sent them to AVID (They are terrible about returning calls) they finally sent me a brand new mount. Same issue.

I got the mount in, what I did was go get 4 larger washers (Thicker & Wider) to replace the four that came with it. Then I got some larger metal & rubber fender washers to fill the gap where the poly is and now everything works fine.

I am 50/50 on these mounts, Would love them if it was not for the hassle and headache that they gave me.

Would I buy them again knowing what I know now, probably not. Would just go the AMS way...... (Less expense, Less Headache, Etc.)

you're not supposed to space the region inside the sleave of poly. the metal sleave is clamped by your fastening hardware.

as for the fitment situations... that might be a bad run and i'm sure that's covered in the lifetime warantee

I put spacers on the outside of the Polly toward the front of the car. The reason I did this is because the mount is short by about .5 inch. When I would tighten down the single bolt holding the mount to the car the metal welded to the car would start to bend toward the mount.

I would attach a picture to show you but the stupid size limit does not allow for me to post them.

Again the spacers were inserted not on the part that bolts to the trans but on the part that bolts to the car......

i narrowed it down to the crossmember motor mount which is most likely destroyed. So does anybody know an estimate of how much it is to install one there if i get the ralliart mounts? and how much to do all 4?

The AGP mount is great. It is a little softer than the other aftermarket mounts (ralliart excluded). I believe the durometer is around 80 and the ralliart is around 65 or so. It works great and I forget I even have it. Plus you keep the stock mount intact which is nice.

You can do it yourself, it is really easy. If you have the tray off it is a snap. With the tray off it takes two minutes to take the crossmember off and install the new mount(full mount swap). Putting it back on take a little longer because you have to align the holes. 3 of the 4 mounts would still be pretty easy. The 4th is a pain. I would just swap out the front lower mount and see where you are.
