Car binding on turns. Front diff???

Car binding on turns. Front diff???
Well I don’t know how it started. The car drove great on the way to a local meet and sat for about 4hrs. While pulling out from the parking space, the car didn’t drive right. When I make a hard left or right turn, the car driveterrain would really bind up, as if the hand brake was up. And when I make a left turn, I would hear a bang coming from the drivers side. Took out the front diff and found one small metal piece logged inside the front diff. pictures are below.
I am going to fully take it apart tomorrow. But can I get some confirmation that it is 100% my front diff? shouldn’t I find more than one metal piece if it was really broken? Can it still be the center diff in the trans?
P.S. anyone have a stock front diff for sale?
