I did not mess with it yet, so cold here it sucks. Now it is going to snow also.
The evo is so sweet in the snow though.

I did not run any codes. I have changed this same plug three times now, just because it looks fouled out. Car still runs and pulls like normal.

Now, I just want to find the problem. Maybe I should take it somewhere, but have no clue what it will cost to fix it.

In regards to the injector being stuck open...I ithink if that was the case, you would have idle and driving issues. What you can do though (to rule that out), is....swap the injector with the one next to it. If the same plug still fouls, it's not the injector. If the other plug fouls...than it is the injector.

Just take a picture of the spark plug in question and post it .
Well have a better idea if it's fuel or oil.

if you are indeed getting oil up past the rings, you'll get a good compression check. The oil actually helps the rings seal giving reasonable compressin check numbers.

it doesnt look good if your plug looks like the pic of the oily plug posted in the example.

good luck

Seems like your in a sticky situation here. I recently had a similar problem with a customers car. The car ran, drove, and made nice numbers on the dyno. It would smoke clear up smoke and clear up repeatedly. Compresion good! Next came the leak down were the problem lied in the fouled up plug/cylinder. Ended up being a melted piston down to the top compresion ring in two different spots of the piston.

I suggest getting a leak down test done. From this test you will be able to determine your problem easier. Test injectors and coils next if leak down is ok. Your next step after that might be to pull the head.

Good Luck

Pete

Definitely oil fouled and it looks like you're getting detonation. Looks like the insulator is cracked or chipping. Not good.

On the insulator, it was dry oil that I pulled off that spot.
