engine issues?

i don't know if it is engine issues or what. Seems to happen on hotter days and when going anywhere from 75-80 mph. boost could be anywhere for -10 to 15 and only happen at partial throttle. I get a rapid farting sound from the exhaust and the does not want to move. I also get a bunch of black smoke coming out of the pipe at this time. It does not make the car hop or bounce at all. if I let off the gas the issues goes away until I try to get back up to speed. Is this detonation? 1 range colder plugs? A leak in the intake system and MAF is going nuts? I don't know where to start checking. I also notice that it happens on warmer days. If it is really cold 20 or below it is fine. That kind of leads me to the Spark plugs. any help would be great thanks
Luis

Boost controller avcr, rmr intake, jic magic DP, Perrin cat, Turbo XS cat back and a reflash from Jester, walbro fuel pump

It seems weird to think it might be the plugs

ok I took the car out today still the same issue. Do you think it might be something with the BOV open to air. There is a lot of black smoke at the point when the car starts to bog.

Nah i dont think its the BOV, what kind are you running anyways? Why dont you call Jester and ask them since they tune your car? They might have a better idea.

Ok I swapped out the plugs. I just did a boost leak test and the only spot it was leaking from was the BOV. I attached the line to the intake side of the turbo and plugged the stock rubber pipe before the intake manifold. I sent 22 psi through the pipes when I plug the BOV with my hand there is no leak anywhere. This is my fist leak test is it done right?

Well I have been reading a lot about the cons of VTA BOV's. and decided to go back the issues that I was having are now gone. I kind of like it better quite again.
