to run straight race gas and turn up the boost without a map for race gas, how much benefit would it be?

Assuming you arent out of the turbos efficiency range you will make more power. The best way to maximize race gas is to up the boost, lean and out and bump up the ignition timing.

If you can afford it then you should definitely run it. It's safer for your car- no knock!!

yes i kno about turning up the boost and everything, but im saying between having a tuned map for race gas compared to not having the map, how much benefit would it be to not actually have a tune for it or not

By coincidence, I filled up my tank with 101 octane a few days ago. The car idles and runs a whole lot smoother, but power wise I don't notice much difference.

There's a 76 gas station that sells 101 for ~ 6.25 a gallon in Auburn, WA. The place is just past the Isuzu truck dealer and near the corner of Auburn Way and 15th. That's where I go to get 101 octane whenever I'm in town.
