ARC Intake - gains & sound
I should have said as discreet as possible
even with the silent exhaust, the car is pretty loud yet still ok as a daily driver (for my taste). I will think about it some more.

I will think about it some more.my friend has an ls1 gto and he installed an intake on it. yes you can hear the intake but it does not take away from the engine sound, rather it adds to the experience. my point is that the EVO does not have a automotive music to the ears sounding engine. I've never heard of people saying how nice the evo engine sounds, rather you hear about the other sounds the car makes. that was my point. The suction sound and the blow off valves are in line with certain race car engines which use the most highly efficient equipment for their applications. if you wanted a quiet car then you picked the wrong vehicle. I guess you can do what you can to make it meet your specifications.
with a discreet sounding vehicle, you will not fully enjoy the sounds that the engine can or does produce. my brother has a legacy gt, i know what discreet sounds like.
