Question ARC Intercooler IC Piping fitment question

Hi Guys,

I tried searching, but could not find any solid answers...

Just wondering if any of you guys with an ARC intercooler out there, know if all the ARC Evo 8/9 intercoolers (street core/race core) fit with OEM lower and upper intercooler piping (or aftermarket intercooler piping that is OEM sized AMS, Injen, ARC upper etc.).

Also did you have to do any bumper modifications or cutting for it to fit?

Thanks!

this doesn't address your question, but why ARC when there are so many other cheaper and same/better performing options?

I am a JDM nut, so I kind of want all my parts to be ARC. Always been a fan of their stuff and the quality is top notch considering almost all their parts are hand made. I was seriously considering other options, but I came across an ARC IC and I just want to find out a bit more about fitment first.

They shut down operations and are bankrupt. On top of this even before when they were in business it was impossible to contact them due to the fact they are based in Japan and were such a small niche market company.

It's all good, kinda hard to tell online lol.

Based off the few threads I have read it looks like these use OEM IC upper and lower piping or aftermarket piping with OEM sizing. If someone that owns one could confirm this, it would be awesome though.

They only sold an upper IC pipe and their intercooler did not come with any piping, just 2 straight 4" couplers I believe.

Honestly, I'm sure something could be made to fit via siliconeintakes.com or something. I could be way off base here (I'm running the stock IC so IDK) but wouldn't it just be an issue of connectivity?

Got a pic of the IC you're after?

I believe mike @ awd runs the ARC intercooler on the bastard evo. I could be wrong, but i swear i remember seeing a pic with an arc intercooler on the car.

Yes, I spoke to Mike about the IC and that is the one I'm going to pick up! He wasn't sure about it fitting stock IC piping 100% as he has custom IC upper and lower piping on his evo.

Here is a pic, I believe it is the wide core version.

I have the wide core on my IX and running greddy UICP and ETS LICP. All stock route intercooler pipes will fit the ARC intercoolers. Currently looking for the ARC UICP.
