Since you got it used try and resell it and just get a hotside. Or since you have 2 VIII turbos send one of them to FP and let them convert it to the fpgreen. The conversion is $1000 I think. Thats what 4tun8 was telling you to do or atleast send it to blouch

It is messed up no doupt but the seller had nothing to do with it. In the sellers threrad it states its a stock VIII turbo. Now SBC was the one that gave him that idea about the turbo

good point... hopefully SBR will listen to warrtalon and fix their page.... hopefully this serves as a lesson for anyone else dealing with them....... if you want a chrome coated turbo go SBR, if you want something not sugar coated and full of performance, hit up AMS or buschur or any of the other REPUTABLE vendors on here

+1 SBR site is very mis-leading for those who don't know the difference in the stock turbos.

If you were goin to invest time and money...you should have bought the Evo IX Turbo for a good 20-30 whp gain otherwise you should have just bought a 10.5 hotside to replace the 9.8 hotside housing on your current turbo.

driventothrill: im glad to finally listened to reason because before i read this whole thread, i was about to rip right into you about how ignorant you were being while clay was trying to help you.

as for that remark that scott posted and then the one that driventothrill posted directly after... hahahahahaha nice

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=252583

looks like scott's "pretty much" doing the same thing and trying to pawn this stock 05 turbo off to a newbie with his claims of "This turbo ran 11.24@124mph. With the correct mods, it would do it again" shame scott. shame.

technically he's not lying but then again he's totally trying to sucker someone into buying it with that claim.

Actually Evodave with 350+ feedback may be buying it. I don't suppose he is a newbie.

No one is suckering anyone. It is a stock turbo with a prototype actuator for sale, nothing more, nothing less.

For the record 2003-2005 turbos without the hotside (as pictured in my ad) are the same.

Should I change the title to this lol.......To maybe like lets bash each other.....Scott I will say it again with a little detail:

As for me and you......we are not on good terms due to the problem with my install you guys did and the attitude you gave me when I asked about it...so therefore you are not welcome in my threads unless you have something nice or helpful to say to me.....I don't go into your half a$$ threads and bash, make comments, or do anything to demean you in any form....so do me the favor and don't come into mine........Like everyone else in this forum we all had to start somewhere, I am sure there was a day where you knew NOTHING about Evo's... So back off please. Thank you.

Mods if you need to, you can delete this thread....if not then cool cause its entertaining not only to me but to others HAHA!!

+1

Hey bro, like everyone else said, the 05 MR turbo is the same as 03-04, the only thing that changes is the hotside from 9.8 to 10.5... If you already have a 10.5 hotside, then you need to return it.
